In 2014, OLYMPEX ADVISERS provided legal support for the development and approval of the draft Resolution of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission with the interested state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international bodies. By this resolution, the list of categories of goods in respect of which a special customs procedure can be established and the conditions for the application of such a customs procedure to them approved by Resolution of the Customs Union Commission No. 329 dated May 20, 2010 were amended to ensure the holding of the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
Based on Resolution of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 50 dated July 16, 2014, foreign goods transported across the customs border of the Customs Union and intended for the organization and holding of the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana shall be subject to a special customs procedure in the Republic of Kazakhstan without paying customs duties and taxes, as well as without applying non-tariff and technical regulation measures.
