Within the framework of this project, OLYMPEX ADVISERS experts represented and defended the Client’s interests in terms of appealing the results of a tax audit in a higher authorized body, in courts of all degrees of jurisdiction, as well as in terms of participation in cases of administrative offenses arising from a tax audit.

The essence of the contested issues was to determine the methods of maintaining separate accounting for contract and non-contract activities; also, issues were related to the accounting of costs in various areas – subsoil use, environment, social programs, etc.

The total amount of the appealed amount of taxes, penalties, and administrative fines amounted to more than 15 billion tenge, of which 75% were successfully canceled based on the results of the appeal.
